Posted by Patsy Kreitman on Edible TV

If you do, then you only have until February 28, 2009 to get your recipe submitted for a chance at competing in the 3rd season of Ultimate Recipe Showdown.  You can submit as many recipes as you want within any of these categories:

  • Chocolate (brownies, truffles or candy, cakes, cookies, drinks, etc.)
  • Easy as Pie (fruit, nut, chocolate, savory, etc.)
  • No Bake Desserts (sundaes, truffles, flames, etc.)
  • Burgers (meat, veggie, turkey, chicken, etc.)
  • Sandwiches
  • Hot and Spicy
  • Chicken
  • Breakfast (omelets, frittatas, quiche, pancakes, waffles, fritters, muffins, coffee cake or breads, homemade sausages)
  • American Hometown Favorites (Buffalo wings, chicken, New England clam chowder, Cincinnati chili, Philly cheese steak, Chicago hot dog, Nola Poor Boy)
  • Ethnic Food
  • Cheesy (grilled cheese, mac n cheese, pizza, etc.)
  • Comfort Food
  • Munchies (dips, canapés and hors d’oeuvres, skewered, nachos and chips)
  • Pasta
  • Other

You can even take a look at the recipes that were among the 250 recipes tested but that did not get chosen to compete this season.  While you wait for your recipe to be chosen, be sure to tune in every Sunday night to Food Network to see this season’s competition with Guy Fieri handling the hosting duties.
