Brewing a Little Hope
Posted by Chris Arpante on A Nice Cuppa
A friend of mine recently finished her marathon rounds of chemo. While she has extensive follow-up, my girl has kicked breast cancer’s butt. Woohoo! During her battle, she never let it get her down (in public). And while we should have all been doting on her after hearing the great news, she beat us to the punch and gave some of those close to her various “pink” gifts of thanks.
My gift of Caffe Rosa, a Paramount Coffee organic coffee product, supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure. According to the company’s shop page, “Created by Roast Master and breast cancer survivor Kathi Zollman, Caffe Rosa is an extraordinary coffee product born of a passion for life and one woman’s discovery of strength, hope and power derived from the care of others.”
I have been enjoying the medium(ish) roast. Its rich flavor has been a great pick me up in the morning as I roll out before sun-up. Now, I have enjoyed other coffees a little more, but this Caffe Rosa holds its own. Plus, it supports a good cause, so I am more than happy to continue brewing.
