Looking for Fun Gifts for your Favorite Cook?

One of my favorite stores, along with World Market, is the Container Store. It is so difficult to walk in and leave with the one item I had in mind.  Today wasn’t any different.  I went in to get little keepsake cases and walked out with two bags!  I am often asked what to get a cook.  The Container Store has lots of little gifts for foodies. So, regardless if its Santa Claus or Harry Hanukkah who visits, there are many ideal items for any cook’s kitchen.

I Am Not A Paper Cup (by DCI) – A “double walled; thermal porcelain cup with silicone top [that is] eco-friendly and reusable”, this is a great way to save money after brewing an aromatic pot in the morning. (photo from DCI)

BagMini Maxi Reusable Bag (by Reisenthel) – This great and handy bag folds into its own small, round, zippered pouch. It’s durable and has long handles for over the shoulder toting. It sure beats all those plastic bags you get in the grocery store! (Photo from goneshopping.com)

ScraperSpatulart Conversion Bowl Scraper –A combo conversion chart and scraper, could there be a kitchen gadget more necessary?

OXO Good Grips MagTack (by OXO) - These are a magnet and pushpin in one, which says no to holey walls.

Klip Kitchen Timer (by American Innovative) - A small, lightweight digital kitchen timer, the look is sleek and chic. It includes a countdown timer, stopwatch and a clock, with a countertop stand, fridge magnet and a belt clip with detachable lanyard.

Mr. Happy or Little Miss Helpful Gel Packs – Got kids?  Kids or not, these gel packs are a reusable, fast and fun way to tend to bumps and bruises. They are easy as 1,2,3 – Cool in the fridge for soothing swelling and bruising, or heat in warm water for aches and stiffness.

Spoon Rest (by Trudeau) - A heat-resistant, silicone utensil clip that hangs to the side of a saucepan eliminating the need for a spoon rest.
