Wii Fit Diary: Fun and Productive

Posted by Sarah Caron on Fit Fare.

The first week that I was using Wii Fit, I focused a lot on the balance exercises. I love the skiing in particular. I wasn’t sure I was seeing much improvement as a result of the games though … until I managed to beat all my scores by large amounts. And then the body tests during my assessment went so much better that within one week, I’ve gone from a  Wii Fit age of 43 to 30. That’s a huge improvement.

This past week, I have focused on more the aerobic activities. Step aerobics is a welcome challenge and has helped me draw a sweat. Yay! And I actually enjoy the three minute jogs through the  Wii Fit park. And hula hooping? Ouch, I can still feel the burn. And it’s a good burn.

I haven’t yet changed my eating habits, though I know I need to. That is a challenge in of itself, seeing as I write about food for a living. But it’s a necessary change that will come in time. Today is weigh-in day, but I haven’t weighed in quite yet (it’s still pretty early). I am wondering if I will see any other improvements.

Have you seen any change thanks to the  Wii Fit?
