Is Dinner: Impossible for Michael Symon?

Posted by Patsy Kreitman on Edible TV

The premier of the new season of Dinner: Impossible is set to begin on August 20th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network.  Chef Michael Symon is the new host and he will be challenged each episode with impossible requests for the most amazing food in a very limited timeframe.

The first episode will require Chef Symon to prepare dinner for an event at none other than Alcatraz.  There will be challenges in how this will play out, since his kitchens will be separated by a city and his time on the island will be limited.

Next up, Chef Symon will be preparing a country music inspired meal for 300 fans and musicians at the Grand Ole Opry.  With only the help of singer, James Otto, he will be facing quite a challenge and a tight deadline.

Chef Symon is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and was named one of the 10 Best Chefs in America by Food & Wine magazine in 1998.  He has been entertaining us on Iron Chef: America, and now we get to see him really put to the test with this new series.

You can also visit his blog Symon Says, where he says that filming Dinner: Impossible was a lot of fun, but it also really put him and his crew to the test.  Somehow, they managed to have fun while facing these challenges.  His ability to look like he’s having a good time while working like crazy should make the new season worth watching.
