Top Chef: Chicago Announced

Bravo has announced the new lineup for season four of Top Chef. Returning to host Top Chef: Chicago is the breathtakingly beautiful Padma Lakshmi. Food Network fans will remember Padma hosting two episodes of Food Planet where she gave viewers one hour excursions into Spain and India. Nerds everywhere will remember Lakshmi for her guest appearance on Star Trek: Enterprise as the spoiled alien princess Kaitaama. The hostess begins her third season at the helm of the cable cooking show, still hurting from a divorce to author Salman Rushdie.
Also rejoining the supermodel-turned cookbook author-turned TV star is the equally sultry dining diva from Food and Wine, Gail Simmons, whose critiques of Top Chef contestants have drawn comparisons to American Idol judge Simon Cowell. Top Chef: Chicago will also see the return of head judge Chef Tom Colicchio and Ted Allen, food and wine ambassador for Robert Mondavi, who is quite familiar to most cable TV fans for his stint on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
