Hi - could you tell me why there are only four nominations in this category? I thought each category was suppose to have five. Since there were many great initial nominations, I can’t imagine there weren’t five qualified to be finalists. Thanks!

A most wonderful blog!

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, we realized after posting the poll with the final judges’ decision that one of the nominees (www.foodblogga.com) was not qualified for this category. In order to prevent losing all the votes that had been cast in the previous six hours, we determined that the best and fairest way to handle it was simply to remove the unqualified blog. That way only the votes cast for that blog would be lost. If we added a blog now, that blog would be at a six hour disadvantage, which would not be fair either. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hogwash receives my vote because Jess is a great writer, she does not hesitate to give us intimate details about her non-food life which makes Hogwash much more than a food blog and I love getting regular recipes from someone who knows food and the real way most of us non-foodies prepare it at home. Thanks Jess for sharing so much with us this past year.

An entertaining and yummy excursion for those who have never been to the French Laundry and have too many little ones to have the time. This blog will get me there one day, however!
