Food Blog Award Rules
A “weblog” is defined as a page with dated entries.
To be considered a valid nominee, the blog must have at least 6 posts a month for a consecutive six month period during 2007. Blogs that are less than six months old are not eligible for the 2007 Food Blog Awards.
Only blogs nominated by the public according to the directions laid out will be considered by the judging panel for a Top 5 Nominees position. The judges will not nominate any sites either during the nomination process or after.
The amount of times a blog gets nominated has NO bearing on if it is chosen for a Top 5 Nominees position. It only puts it in the running for consideration by the judging panel.
Any sites owned and/or operated by the Food Blog Award judges are ineligible, as are the Well Fed Network sites. The sites of Well Fed writers who are not involved in judging the awards are, however, eligible.
Sites will be judged based on content, design, consistency, style, photos and accuracy for each category it has been nominated in.
Nominations from the voting public will be open from November 30, 2007 through December 5, 2007. Any nominations made after 11:59 p.m. EST on December 5, 2007 will not be considered.
The Top 5 nominations in each category will be announced on December 10, 2007, and at that point, polls will be open for voting.
Voting will take place from December 10 through December 14. Once the polls close at 11:59 pm EST on December 14, all tallies will be considered final. Winners will be announced on Monday, December 17.
