Review: Spice Stacker

I’ve gone through several different storage methods for my spices. And no matter what the set-up, there seemed to be one common theme: the spices took up too much area without utilizing the full space. It’s been quite the source of kitchen contention as the spices moved from cabinet to cabinet to drawer. I’ve gone through several different storage methods for my spices. And no matter what the set-up, there seemed to be one common theme: the spices took up too much area without utilizing the full space. It’s been quite the source of kitchen contention as the spices moved from cabinet to cabinet to drawer.

But when I caught wind of the Spice Stack being available for review here, I jumped at the chance. Seriously, feet off the ground - it had to be mine!

In any case, I had the Spice Stack out of the box and prepped to enter my cabinet within seconds of finding the package. (Okay, it was really the next day. But that’s only because I got home so late!) Although it claimed not to need set-up, I did have to snap the shelves into place (could have been a shipping thing though).

Here’s how it’s fared in the week or so that I have used it:

Ease of Use: Good - All of my spices fit in there easily and I could stack the smaller containers so as not to waste room.

Quality of Construction: I was a bit concerned that the plastic would be too flimsy or that the drawers wouldn’t hold up, but so far, so good though. There is one drawer that I wish would move a tiny bit smoother, but it’s nothing that’s overwhelming.

Space: This takes up the better part of one cabinet shelf. But considering these spices have occupied that entire shelf before as well as a whole drawer at another time, it’s not that bad.

So would I purchase this unit? Well, it definitely solves some storage issues for me, and I can see all the spices thanks to the nifty fold-down shelves. So it is definitely something I would consider. And honestly, the Spice Stack seems to pack the most spice into the least space of any organizer I’ve found. So yes, I daresay I would purchase this.

Thank you for the review. SpiceStack can be purchased at spicestack.com. Your links point to Amazon, but readers will end up paying more for shipping there.

Happy Organizing!

Cate and Lauren - Thank you for posting your thoughts on the SpiceStack. I’ve been considering purchasing and think I will do so.

Lauren - I agree with you - www.spicestack.com does come up as the site with the lowest cost overall… In fact, I’m considering purchasing 2 - and the second is half price.
