Make a Burger, Win an iPod
Posted by Sarah Smee on Kids Cuisine.
Does your kid love to make up new recipes? Does he or she happen to enjoy a burger, especially one with interesting toppings? If so, I’ve got the perfect contest for your family!
Red Robin, home of delicious burgers and chicken sandwiches, is starting a kids’ cooking contest for ages 6 to 12. Between now and September 16th, kids can go to any Red Robin to submit their entry. Each entry should include the recipe and 100 words about why the burger is the best in America.
The top 50 burgers will be featured in a new recipe book that will benefit the Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The top 10 winners will fly to Denver to compete head to head, and each finalist will get an iPod. The grand prize winner will win a trip to Universal Studios Orlando, and the winning burger will be added to the menu at Red Robin’s across the country.
More details are available here, and there’s a (slow-loading) video here.
Last year’s winning entry was Asian style, with cabbage, ginger, wasabi, and wontons. Yum! What will your kids come up with?
