All of you need to lay off Joane. If you don't approve of the recipe go to another page. My daughter just developed a bad case of strep throat and I am very grateful for the recipe. When you're kids are sick and refusing everything you need to break some nutrition rules to keep them hydrated. Thank you Kristin this one is going to spare my daughter some of the comfort.

No, what Joanne needs are Laxatives...Try about a quart of all natural prune juice! She's probably planning her next attack on amy - a pool party??? Soaking in all that chlorinated water??? Why not a nice, organic scummy pond??? Amy, please! Kool-Aid??? Slurpees??? Pool parties? I'm sure Joanne would enjoy a pool party, if someone would ever invite her - she could show off those nice hairy legs and paunch.

Joanne needs to relax...
The ease of grabbing something quickly is obviously what was meant here. Heaven forbid ever stopped in 7-11 on a hot day for a slurpee!
WE have a pool party next week and I will be taking these there! Thanks for the tip Kristen!

I know...I know. We never drink Kool-Aid, and as you can see from my links in the article, most of the things I have been making have been derived from fresh fruit and fresh ingredients. Kool-Aid, however, is what I had available and it fit the need. We don't drink it on a regular basis and I by no means think that kids should have sugar infused beverages continuously, but I don't think that having a treat like this once or twice a year is going to harm anyone.

Come on Kristen - Kool-Aid? How about Fresh Squeezed Lemonade Slushies? Orange juice slushies? I'm all for ending a perpetuation of feeding kids poor quality processed food.
