New Food Network Blog
Posted by Madeline Miller on Edible TV.

The Food Network is getting into the blogging business. They’ve already got one written by the staff of the Food Network Kitchens and now they’ve added Feeding Frenzy. It’s written by two Food Network producers, Suki Hertz and Lia Wiedemann. Lia also has a personal food blog called This Little Piglet.
Feeding Frenzy was launched in April and has posts about Cold-Brewed Iced Coffee, Orchard Dinner, Community Supported Agriculture, and Apricot Upside Down Cake, among others. So far, my favorite post on the blog is the one entitled Fame and the Food Blogger. It cracks me up, for some reason, to think of a Food Network producer being interested in the habits of a food blogger. Check it out:
What I really want to tell you is that I spotted The Amateur Gourmet right as I was leaving the restaurant. For those of you who have no idea who I’m talking about, he’s one of New York’s most popular food bloggers. I know, I know, what’s so exciting about a food blogger any way, but when you’ve been reading about a stranger’s meals for the past year, hearing about their roommate Diana, boyfriend Craig and recent move to Park Slope, it’s kind of cool to finally see that person in the flesh. It was hard to keep myself from looking over at his table every now and then, trying to see what he was eating and wondering what he’d say about Anthos on his site. For those of you who are interested, he was having dinner with his Mom and Dad (who I recognized from past posts). Despite my efforts to be discreet, I could tell they noticed that I recognized their son.
It’s refreshing to hear “real people” who work at the Food Network talking about what interests them not just in the food tv realm or the general food realm, but in the world of food blogging. The post also mentions some other favorite food bloggers. Go over and share your thoughts on which bloggers you’d like to meet.
