Woah .. I had to do a triple take when I read the bio for the Canizares woman .. she claims to have made HUGE Sacrifices for the health of her family re: food so thats why she chooses the healthy foods at McDs...??!! I could snark on this but I am mostly dumbfounded. The other correspondents .. well.. more of the unbelievably silly BS about McD's being a very healthy choice for their many children.

I dont claim to never go to McDs but I sure never feel like its the right thing to do for little growing bodies.

If forced to buy food on the run, I would prefer to stop at a gas station and get the kids a 100% natural juice drink (but that too is really just sugar water) but the best is just to get home. When we are out these days and home food is not near, we hit subways so that there are healthy choices, McD's is almost guaranteed not to be.

I wrote about this on my blog two weeks ago. Personally, I think it's a brilliant marketing ploy, but frankly at the end of the day McDonald's is NOT healthy. And I find it hard to believe these Moms will see anything other than the perfect side of the McEmpire.

Would I want to be on the blogging team? Not sure. On one hand, I know I would be impartial. On the other, I wouldn't want to be part of their spin machine.

I believe that the "correspondents" are portraying reality just about as well as the cast of Real Life. That is, not well at all. An expected visit from individuals who may or may not be on the purse-strings of McDonald's Corp. doesn't really sound all that trust-worthy to me.
