What a Burger!!!

In 2006, Mike Tucker of Hawgeye’s BBQ cooked a world record, 43 pound pork burger. This year a new pork double burger was set. The 10 inch tall, 21 inch wide burger weighed in at 70.5 pounds. It was done in Big Mac style with a center bun. Maytag blue cheese, lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion and BBQ sauce adorned the colossal sandwich.

The record setting double pork burger was part of the activities at the 2007 World Pork Expo and the 20th Annual BarBeQlossal barbecue contest sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. The World Pork Expo is held at the Iowa State Fair Grounds in Des Moines, Iowa. The National Pork Board coordinates all of the World Pork Expo and BarBeQlossal activities.
