This is so dead-on correct. I got one of these people out of my life last year, and it was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. The next time I tell someone about the situation and get that strange "I don't believe people like that actually exist" look, I'm sending them here.

Excellent question, Dawgbite. I am editor of Fit Fare, where this first appeared. At Fit Fare, our purpose is to write about healthy living - all aspects of it. Having unhealthy relationships negatively impacts many other areas of life, so we decided to do a short two-part series on unhealthy relationships to help our readers identify them and find a path to a healthier spiritual life.

I know it's your personal blog and all, and you can put up whatever you like, but what, exactly, does this have to do with food?

Another good resource for manipulative people can be found by doing a google search for covert-aggression which will provide an excerpt from the book In Sheep's Clothing by George K. Simon.
