Saving the Earth … One Step at a Time

save-the-earth.bmpEarth Day was only a few weeks ago, but there are still heaps of suggestions on little things we can do here and there to do our part. The book, 1,001 Ways to Save the Earth, is a great example of new earth-friendly habits that are very easy to implement, but that reap big rewards. One such tip:

Fill your freezer. Keep your freezer as full as possible: It takes more energy to chill empty space. If you don’t need to stock up on food at the moment, empty cardboard boxes will achieve the same result.

And this should come as no surprise, but the book itself is pretty environmentally friendly … it’s printed with vegetable-based inks on paper from sustainably managed forests. Go on and pick one up, you know you want to.
