Blueprint: Salad and Beyond

Posted by Gabrielle Peterson on Paper Palate.

Blueprint May 2007May’s Blueprint, the Martha Stewart design-your-life publication, has a piece entitled “ Build a Better Salad“. This isn’t a new concept for an article, but it does employ the clean and sparse photography that Martha is famous for and details lots of ideas for salad components and dressings. Seeing ingredients showcased in this way should definitely spark the creative juices of its readers.

Reading this article during the glorious weather we’ve been having lately in the San Francisco Bay Area inspired a visit to a nearby farmer’s market (which opened for the season last Thursday). It’s amazing what really fresh produce does to your meal!

Not only that, a trip to the local farmer’s market makes you realize that even adding a few locally grown ingredients to your dinner table makes a difference to the environment AND the local farmer who needs your business to keep on growing.

Yum. Summer is almost here.
