Believe me, I’m the first one to be turned off by a loud personality. And I,ve only seen the show once , but I found her to be nothing short of delightful. My wife has already tried one of her dishes and it came out “delicioso”.
And she didn’t fall ass backwards into her position like Rachel Ray did either. She has an impressive resume of accomplishments that most other cooking show hosts can’t brag about.

The arrival of Ingrid Hoffman to the Food Network was to bring a popular and overlooked cuisine in a already repetitive boring line up. Instead of showcasing latin food, the Food Network added a hot tamale from Columbia to their list of bimbo chefs. If Miss Hoffman was to enter the Next Food Network Star contest, she will not make it to the second round! The Food Network should name her show to Simply Boring!

I watched her today, for the first time and I was so dissapointed. I could only take 10 minutes, she talks way to much. It seems when she does talk it seems she’s “talking down” to the viewers and it’s insulting. I swear sometimes Food Network is going backwards instead of forwards when it comes to hosts. She is trying to be like Rachael Ray in every way possible. I think if they were to put a notable Latina host it should be Daisy Martinez from Daisy Cooks. It least when she speaks to the viewers, is helpful and informative in every way possible. This woman reminds me of the bimbos on “Sabado Gigante
“. I hope Food Network pulls her immediately off.

While I respect her accomplishments and future endeavors I can’t help but to be dissapointed at the negative stereotype this woman perpetuates. During her appearance on “Regis and Kelly” She all too readily performed the “cuchi coo” schtick for Regis that Charo made famous back in the 70’s and seems to lean on her “latin sex appeal” more than I think is necessary. Our culture has more to offer than sex. Degrading yourself for Regis was deplorable. Thanks for setting our culture back 30 years.
