Vintage Aprons are Back

Posted by Cate O’Malley on Cook Smarter.

apron.jpgI gotta confess.  I don’t use an apron.  Never have, and most likely never will.  Full disclosure aside, I am sorely tempted by the ones sold by Jessie Steele.  Bringing vintage back, they are fun, colorful and dare I say, flirty.

The company is run by a mother-daughter team, and the collection includes vibrant colors, trendy designs, and even kids’ sizes.  Available at your local Williams Sonoma and Sur La Table, you can also call 1-877-9JESSIE for additional locations.

They’ve only been in business for four years, but their wares are already carried in over 800 stores and have appeared on Oprah and Desperate Housewives, as well as in numerous national magazines and newspapers.

I bought what must be a copy cat apron from a seller on Etsy. I too was tempted by how cute and flirty these aprons were. Do you think I have worn it yet? Nope! It does look cute hanging on the hook in my pantry though.

Thanks for the inspiration. I did a whole dedication to aprons and all things aprony on our blog after reading this post. Come check it out.
