I had not seen any of those, and Adam nearly got my vote (he’s so clever), but I just want to say that Gluten Girl, who kicked my blog’s ass last year in the “Best Themed Blog” category—not that I’m bitter or have a wax voodoo doll that looks just like her right next to my computer or anything—well, I read every single word.

YES.

It’s the biggest answer to the biggest question in the universe, and apparently she and I have more in common than I thought.

(Note to GFG and the Chef: John and Yoko did spend time apart. Oh, yes, if you know your Beatles history.) My particular favorite part of that story was hearing John explain, “Because it could have said anything, like, ‘Fuck you,’ but she said YES.” Indeed, it could have been anything: the SoHo equivalent of a whoopy cushion, or the boutonniere that squirts you in the face.

Meanwhile, what an awesome homage to food, love, serendipity, synchronicity, and everything else a food lover lives for. Good work, GFG.

Poetry and relevance and joy. And FOOD.

I wish we had paper ballots, but consider yourself voted for.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This post meant more to me than any piece I had ever written before it. Honestly, I wrote it for my love, as an anniversary present. It came from somewhere deep and honest. It means the world to me that you would recognize it.

And Tana — thank you! As far as them spending time apart: oh, we know. In fact, often I turn to the Chef and joke, “But you’re not allowed a Lost Weekend!” I’m not worried.

I’m in. Also engaged and this post brought me to loving tears.

God yes. May we all be as blessed as GFG & The Chef. May I specifically be as blessed as GFG. I don’t know you, but I love you.

Shuna absolutely, positively, hands down, has the best themed food blog and this is the one blog that really made me cry! Soooo romantic and real. YES to Shuna and The Chef

For me, this was a battle of humor. The brussel sprout meets chutzpah. Film at 11p. Well, no film necessary - my vote goes to Amateur Gourmet’s Chutzpah. Nice work, young man.

Yes I vote for YES. I loved the writing, loved the love story, and loved that gfg (Shauna) would share the story with all of us. Her blog has changed my life for the better (now cooking from scratch for my wheat allergic two year old) and her YES posting made me look at my own love with fresh eyes. Well done!

Best Post. Fantastic. Brought tears to my eyes. Love this Gluten free girl!

I cried and shivered when I read it, and I’m a tough cookie… Beautiful writing. Beautiful philosophy for life. Beautiful Shauna.

I’m nominated in this category and even I think it should go to Shauna!

This particular post made me believe in true love again. Something that has been lost in this fast pase world. It touched me in a way I never thought possible and gives me hope for the future.

Oh lame. You can’t possibly actually think that these are the best posts from all year on any of the thousands of food blogs out there. Same old lame old in-clique. Get over it. If I have to read that “Amateur Gourmet’s” sick-o-fonts tell him he’s clever anymore, yug…..

I don’t remember where I first found the link to the ‘Yes’post but now I’m absolutely addicted to the site - it’s my first read of the day every day (and this from an Aussie girl who thought blogs were boring). I’m now an official blog lover thanks to you! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. You rock!
