The judges had a wild card wherein a site could be nominated that judges felt should have been overlooked. I believe this might have been the only category that this was used in, but I’d have to sift through all the transcripts to say for certain.
Thanks so much for the nomination! I am really honored to be considered among such great sites. A great way to start the year!
Any chance you could make the hyperlinks hyperlink
The judges had a wild card
…sounds shady…
Londonelicious is a good addition to this category though. at least it’s a food blog in a city, not just a cooking journal wherever.
Londonelicious FTW!
Re VOTING for Best Food Blog-City:
Several people at my work place have been trying to place a vote on your site, but are being erroneously told they’ve already voted. These votes are thus not counted.
The problem is not at our end. The fact that so many have been denied a vote and have rec’d the same message is arousing some genuine suspicions about the entire voting process and its accuracy.
Please advise, ASAP. Thanks,
Jim
I agree Londonelicious is a true city blog and it is just one girl and her quest to find good food in a VERY large city. Bless her. Hope she wins. Love an underdog.
Jim - the voting is very secure, but because of that, it has slightly less flexibility. It permanently blocks each IP address from which a vote is cast. This can result in users voting from behind a firewall, or using a shared gateway from being blocked without having had a chance to vote. Might I suggest you and your friends vote from a computer not at your office? Because of ballot stuffing and the like, we had to go with a poll that allowed some measure of security.
Go Feathers!

I guess I’m confused about Londonelicious as it did not get a nomination at: http://wellfed.net/2006/12/11/best-city-food-blog/
Is there something I missed?
