Torn between two entries:
Melissa’s
and Jeanne’s

Sorry, did something wrong with links earlier. My two votes (I’ve got two, haven’t I?) go to Melissa’s comprehensive http://www.travelerslunchbox.com/journal/2006/8/21/calling-all-bloggers-things-to-eat-before-you-die.html and Jeanne’s informative http://cooksister.typepad.com/cook_sister/2006/11/london_food_blo.html

This person keeps posting brilliant, simple articles that entertain and inform. And she’s also my runner up in the photography category. I nominate Haalo and I’ll go for
this recent post as my winner.

The Fancy Toast Brussel Sprout post. As I’ve said elsewhere: classic.

Call me biased, but this is one the best posts I’ve read in ‘06:

Definitely take a look at www.sassyradish.com The writing is educational and entertaining. Photos are great and stories hit close to home. Here’s a great amateur chef sharing her experience of experiments along side with her all-time-favorite tried-and-true sure-to-please-all dishes. Take a look and vote for her!

A very comprehensive post about how to roll sushi on SushiDay.com

This made me cry and was so memorable and inspiring. Good food writing must contain elements of the personal because food IS personal, but Molly from Orangette knows just how much to mix in to keep us hooked.

Their post on Small Planet Fund. Sacatomato rocks!

Tigers and Strawberries for her post on pickey eaters

also the one “It is a Matter of Manners”

I know the nominations are closed. But it would be unfortunate if DallasFood.org’s expose of Noka Chocolate wasn’t considered.

Onions Make You Cry”
It educated me because I didn’t know how to cut an onion and it taught me how to cut it without crying.
It made me laugh because I couldn’t do it properly and I ended up with a mushed up onion on the floor.
It made me cry because that’s what onions do… they make you cry if you don’t cut them the way this blog post shows you to!
