Exploring the New Well Fed Network

Sit back, grab a drink and make yourself comfortable. We have a little catching up to do. As you can see, our redesign went live today - I couldn’t wait to unveil it to all of you. I have an amazing team behind-the-scenes for the design and implementation, and Maddie and Linda deserve a HUGE thank you. They were instrumental in everything from conception to completion - thank you, thank you, thank you.

There are a few things here and there that we’ll be tightening up over the next few days, but most are imperceptible items you won’t notice. And now for the tour… All 8 original sites in our network were redesigned, and we added 7 NEW sites to our line-up. If you look on the right side, you can easily hop between all the sites, navigating under The Well Fed Network heading.

Up above this post, you’ll see tabs for our new Shop at Amazon, full of cooking and food products, and providing a gateway into the entire Amazon site. As you may have noticed, we work very hard at keeping things clean and uncluttered, with only a few ads sprinkled in here and there. So next time you want to pick up a book, CD or DVD, consider shopping through our link and supporting Well Fed.

You’ll see there’s also a Media tab up top as well. Whether you are interested in advertising on Well Fed, or having one of our team members review a product, book or event, that’s where you’ll find all the information you need.

With our new sites, we are welcoming two new Editors to our team. When I decided to add a site dedicating to grilling, I could think of no better person to head it up than Robert Fernandez. Some of you might know him from his own site, White Trash BBQ. He’s in the process of pulling an amazing crew together to begin writing on our new site, Get Your Grill On, so be sure and check in on what they’re cooking up. Matt Fisher is also joining us as an Editor, taking charge of another one of our new sites, The Cook’s Kitchen. You might be familiar with Matt from his web site, Hampton Smoker. Like Robert, Matt is rounding up a terrific team of writers, so make sure to visit Cook Smarter and see what they’re up to. Welcome guys!

Jaay Dunlap, our Editor for Sugar Savvy and A Nice Cuppa, will also be taking over the Editor role on Just Baking. Having her own home bakery, she is the perfect person for the job.

There are a few Editor spots still open, so if you’re interested, or know someone who is, drop me a line at info@wellfed.net. We also have writer openings on a few of our sites as well, and we’d love to hear from you.

Now that we’ve had the unveiling, relax and make yourself at home. The Well Fed Networkwe’ve got a place for you.

Cate
